This post is a little late but with the holidays and being sick, blogging just isn't a priority.

Parker turned 11 months old on December 28th. I CAN NOT BELIEVE he is almost one!!! He doesn't sleep through the night and he has no teeth. He still is a mama's boy which I don't mind ;), although it would be nice to go to the bathroom without him crawling to the door crying for me...Parker doesn't walk yet but I think he will in the next couple months. He has started drinking cows milk here and there and seems to like it, but he still prefers nursing. Oh and one more thing, he is terrified of certain balls and toys that vibrate or move. Silly boy.

And of course no photoshoot of Parker would be complete without the usual crying pics.

I think I actually have more pictures of him crying then doing anything else...

Ok, this post is a little late. Parker is 10 1/2 months old now. He has started pulling himself up on furniture and once he walked along the couch. He is still a mama's boy and a very picky eater. He still has no teeth which isn't surprising for my kids. He LOVES watching Baby Brainy, which is kind of like Baby Einstein, although when it shows close ups of peoples faces, he cries.

This was by far the hardest photo shoot, Parker would not sit still!!! I eventually sat him in a box so he couldn't go anywhere but he didn't like that very much. I also had to give him my phone too to keep him somewhat still.

Thanksgiving

2 Hams, 2 Turkeys, Broccoli & Cauliflower with Cheese Sauce, Pistachio Salad, Jello, Rolls, Mashed Potatoes, 2 Types of Gravy, Funeral Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, and 7 Pies...All that great food and I couldn't even enjoy it. I had a fever, sores in my mouth and my throat hurt so bad I couldn't even swallow...On the plus side I actually lost a couple pounds!

My very first black Friday adventure. Target was the place and we knew exactly what we wanted(the 46" tv for $300). We stood in line for only about 2 1/2 hours. We got to the tv's and only then realized the store gave away tickets to the first few people who wanted the 46" tv and the tickets were gone. So we settled for the 40"($265) which was still a step up from our old 27" tube tv. We were in line about to check out when some lady came up to us and said, "I noticed you guys have the 40" tv, would you like to have my ticket for the 46" tv?" Jesse and I of course said yes. We were so excited and could not understand how out of hundreds of people this lady chose to give US the ticket.

Anyways, there we were standing there with this 40"tv that we no longer wanted. So we turned to the people behind us and asked if they wanted it. I guess they were disappointed that the tv's were gone by the time they got there so when we gave them our 40" tv they were literally screaming and jumping for joy. They kept saying how we made their Christmas.

So to sum up my black friday experience, it was AWESOME!

Can't believe my baby is already 9 months old. He crawls like a pro, he says mama and dada, and he loves his mommy! Parker enjoys chasing the vacuum when I use it but he cries when anyone yells. He drives me crazy sometimes but I love him anyways!

Jesse had a writing conference in Chicago last weekend and I tagged along. I was excited to see Chicago since I had never been but I was also excited to get some me time(I took Parker with me of course), and my sister Kristin took my girls which I owe her big time for doing so. Thanks Kristin!

Thursday-

I was pretty tired from the flight so I took a nap then we went out to dinner. We had to use a taxi to go anywhere and I just have to say that taxi drivers are CRAZY!! I feared my life every time getting in one of those...

And I will cry if I want to!! I have turned the big 24 today. Not sure how I feel about it. I feel like its old when it really isn't. Most people my age are just now getting married. I have already been married for over 5 years and have 3 kids! Kids definitely take a toll on your body. I very much miss the energy I had before having kids, will it ever come back or will it just get worse? Other then time going by so fast, I am happy with my life right now. Could it be better? Maybe. Could it get worse? For sure! I know I have been blessed. I have great kids and an AWESOME husband. What did I do to deserve so many blessings? I am grateful everyday.

First Day of Preschool

Lyla's first day of preschool was a success! She LOVED it! She didn't even say bye she just ran right in. Lacee was sad, after dropping Lyla off Lacee cried for 15 minutes saying don't leave Lyla.

You can tell by looking at these pictures that Lyla was really excited. On the way there she said, "This is going to be so fun!".

Parker is 4 months old! He hasn't had his 4 month check up yet so I don't know if he is big or small but he is just getting into 3-6month clothes and he wears size 2 diapers. So I am guessing he is in the 25-50percentile. He laughs more then my girls did but he is pretty moody. Jesse says he is more like me because he has no patience. Parker is very close to rolling from back to tummy and he keeps trying to hold his head up like he wants to sit up. He has the sweatiest feet and hands ever(which he gets from Jesse)and he doesn't sleep through the night but oh do I love this little boy!!!

My family doesn't usually do things like this because it is just too chaotic with all the kids but last Saturday we decided to all go up to Logan for the day. My little brother Kyle had a football scrimmage so we thought we would check that out and see the Logan temple then all go out to dinner.
How did it go you ask? Well...kids fighting, Kyle barely playing, Scot almost chocking to death, and a car breaking down pretty much sums up how it went...Other then that, it was a good day!

I haven't posted in over a week so I thought I would write something really quick. We are doing great although Lacee and Lyla have been sick off and on. Fevers, coughing, croupy...you know how it is. I have been doing some kind of work out every day which makes me feel good until I step on the scale...My weight seems to be stuck where it is and im nervous about cutting calories cause I don't want to risk messing up my milk...Any advise out there? I also need advise on how to stop craving junk food! I am addicted, I admit it...HELP!

My sister Kristin threw me a baby shower about a month ago and I finally got the time to post the pics of it. She did the most awesome decorations and the only food was candy, cookies, and cupcakes which if you know me would know that I very much enjoyed that =). Labor Story

35 weeks dilated 1cm 60% effaced. Contractions here and there.
36 weeks dilated 2cm 60-70% effaced. Had contractions one night 3 minutes apart for 6 hours before dying off. I was a little freaked out cause I was only 36 weeks!
37 weeks dilated 3cm 70% effaced. More contractions but not regular.
38 weeks dilated 4cm 70% effaced. Got membranes stripped. Midwife said to come in in two days and if anything is different then I will be admitted to Labor and delivery. So went in on Friday and was dilated to a 5!! So went on to L&D around 9:30am! Which is when they attempted to start my IV...Long story short after three times getting stuck with a needle and the needle not going up my vain(OUCH!)...they had to get the guy that does the epidurals to get it in! Anyways, my midwife came and broke my water and I was told to walk around a little. I was having contractions every 2-3 minutes but they weren't getting stronger. After a little dose of pitocin they were the strongest I have ever felt them. At that point I thought ok this is enough, I want my epidural now and of course it feels like an eternity before they come. I was 6cm at that point so I was progressing. At around 6:30pm I was at a 10!

So started pushing around that time...the babys heart rate was dropping cause his cord was around his neck and they thought they were going to have to use the vacuum which they did with Lacee and I really wanted to do it by myself this time. They gave me some oxygen and just then the baby turned and took pressure off the cord and his heart rate went back to normal. So the pushing continued and 31 minutes later he was here!! No vacuum was needed!!! We were all laughing that he was born at 7:11 and he weighed 7lbs 11oz. Just then my midwife said that I didn't tear at all!! Which means less recovery time.

Anyways, I was in the hospital for a couple nights and am now home. Jesse has some vacation days so he is watching the girls and I am very grateful for that. I am also greatful for my sister who watched my girls while I was in the hospital, I know it couldn't of been easy watching her own 3 kids and mine at the same time. I will make it up to you Kristin!!!

ps- The failed IV attempts were more painful then anything else that night!! That will be what I dread the most next time...

I have been stalling at getting my girls ears pierced. It was actually more Jesse then me...BUT we finally did it! We were at the mall just walking around and Jesse out of nowhere said, "You want to get Lyla's ears pierced?" Of course I wasn't going to say no. I thought we might as well do Lacee's also. They got matching earrings and they look so cute. They both cried until they got their suckers then everything was ok.

36 weeks, dilated to 1 and 60% effaced. I get contractions for hours at a time but they always stop eventually. I felt the baby drop which I didn't feel with my girls so that freaked me out a little. I am so uncomfortable I am hoping this baby comes soon. I have another check up in a few days so we'll see what my dr says.

I am only 32 weeks and I am already sooo uncomfortable. I am thinking this baby must be bigger then my other two. Went to the Dr. today and everything looks great. She thinks the baby is head down and really low which explains a lot! He moves so much, I think he is wanting to get out of there already.

This year we spent Thanksgiving with the Michelsens in Spanish Fork. I always like the Michelsen Thanksgivings because they are laid back and fun. Including basketball, games, talent shows...etc. The sucky part is that I have been pregnant at every single one...Hopefully in two years I won't be pregnant and I will be able to play some bball.

Our new carpet

I have wanted to get new carpet in our house since we moved in almost 4 years ago. Well I don't know why now but we started looking around, checking prices and such. The last place we wanted to buy it was home depot or lowes where you would assume they would be more expensive because they are more convenient. Most of the places we looked it was around $1000-$1200 for us to do the livingroom and hallway. We made our way to home depot and found a carpet that we really liked for only $800. We thought that was great! Then we remembered we had points saved up on our credit card which we could use for home depot gift cards. So after the gift cards we wound up only spending $300!!! They installed the carpet a few weeks later and we LOVE it!! Even Jesse said it was worth the money, and thats saying something!

Btw, I am embarrassed how disgusting our old carpet was after moving the furniture...you can even see where we had a rug in the middle of the living room, but I had to show everyone how desperately we needed new carpet so don't judge me on how gross it is!

I have been meaning to do something about all the hair bows I have. I was keeping them in a shoe box which is definitely not ideal when you are looking for a specific bow. So I decided to make something to see ALL the bows at once. I am sure this has been done by other people and its really not a big deal but I thought I would post about it anyways. I bought a frame from the D.I. for 50 cents and painted it black. I then stapled some left over fabric from when I made my girls tutu's into a criss cross pattern(I have seen other people use chicken wire instead). It took about 30 minutes which seems like a lot of time but that is because I was pushing kids away from the wet paint most of the time. You know how it is...

I can't believe I am already halfway through my pregnancy...I am feeling pretty good compared to my other pregnancies. Although I seem to have to pee a lot more often with this one...apparently the placenta is right around my belly button so there is nothing blocking this baby from continuously hitting my bladder...makes falling asleep that much harder. Since I have a anterrior placenta and have previously had a c-section, they are going to monitor me a little closer which means more ultrasounds, which are fun anyways right? I feel my baby boy moving all the time which makes me feel confident that everything is going well.

Most girls would be very offended if someone says they are like their mother...I am of course one of them...For the past 3 years I have been carrying around a diaper bag as a purse, which is fine to me but I recently decided to buy myself a purse so I am not such a "soccer mom". Well I got one at Ross then came to my moms to show everyone...They all said it was much better then a huge diaper bag and that it was cute blah blah...then someone said, "It kinda looks like moms purse..." I always remember my mom having ugly purses like brown with gold buckles...but once I saw my moms purse, I was shocked!
Do you guys think they look alike? Mine is the one on the right, like that even matters...

We mix them up all the time... and the other day I actually walked out of the house with my moms purse instead of mine...sad day...

Can you believe I have lived in Utah for over 4 years and have never gone to Lagoon till recently? I live 5 minutes away...Before I went I thought it was lame, I mean, nothing compares to Disneyland right? Now that I have been, it still doesn't compare to Disneyland but it is a pretty great place. There are tons of rides for little kids with like 2 minute waiting times. No waiting in line for an hour for a short ride like peter pan...They also have the water park which my girls LOVED! I would definitely go again!! Hopefully next time Jesse can come too.

I had to put this picture up and show how ridiculous David looks on this ride...now imagine his mom cheering him on from the sideline...(true story...)

Baby #3!

If you didn't already know, we are expecting baby #3!!! Due Feb. 9th, 2011. Seems like forever away doesn't it? I am about 7 1/2 week along and of course I feel like crap. Which is why I haven't updated my blog for a while. We announced it to our families by making a video of Lyla saying, "Mommy has a baby in her tummy." I mean, whats the fun in just saying, "I'm pregnant!"? I did that with the first two so I wanted to do something different. Our families are excited of course as are we. Hoping for a boy but wouldn't mind another girl. I love my girls! We don't have any names yet, it's still pretty early. My first Dr. appointment is tomorrow and I am nervous...I assume everything is ok since I am sick and still feel pregnant, but still feel a little anxiety...I guess thats normal?

I am sick of course...have only thrown up 4 times, though, one of which was in California at an AMPM gas station right before driving home...not fun...I have gained weight already because I have to eat all the time otherwise I feel sick. Everything smells...even stuff that is supposed to smell good makes me so sick...I have been eating baked potatoes which seem to help. Anyways...I hope you are all doing good and sorry again for the lack of posts. I will get back to it as soon as I can.

Better late then never! My baby Lacee turned 1 on May 12th!! She came in at 16lbs 27inches. She doesn't walk yet, she barely talks, and she just cut her first tooth! We had a little party for her at my moms which included cake and gifts. I love her so much!

I remember as a kid going on many field trips. One in particular was just down the street to the grocery store. We actually just walked to it. It was the grocery store my family went to regularly so I was actually excited to see how things worked. They taught us the specific assignments each person had and we even ended the field trip with a cookie from the bakery. I was only in first grade when we did this and I will never forget it.

Freschetta Pizza

When I was asked to sample the Freschetta pizza I was excited. Our family love pizza and we have tried just about every take and bake pizza company out there, some with not so good results. I had actually thought that these pizza's were small, personal pan pizzas but when I got to the store I was happily surprised.

These pizzas are big! And to my surprise, there were what felt like dozens of flavors to choose from! They had classics like peperoni, sausage, olives and then they had some fancy stuff like roasted garlic and spinach. I was pretty impressed. Their crusts also ranged in variety. They have flat bread crust, big square brick over crust and naturally rising.

We chose Canadian Bacon and Pineapple. That's the pizza we usually order from restaurants so I thought it would be a good test.

The pizza took about twenty minutes to cook and looked great. It tasted even better than it looked. The pineapples were juicy and tasted fresh. The sauce was thick and rich, and the crust..so crisp, flaky and light. It was really great.

We had initially planned to share the pizza with family..but we eat the whole thing before anyone else had a chance to try it :) Oh well, we will just have to point them to the coupons available for $1 off. At just around $5 minus the coupon, these things are a steal. The coupon can be found here:

Monica Maternity Shots

My sister in law Monica asked me to do some maternity shots and of course I said yes! I had never done maternity shots before and it was a lot harder than I thought. Pregnant women cannot be in any certain position that long cause before you know it they are out of breath, swollen, and just not in a good mood...So I did the best I could and I feel like I learned a lot so thanks Monica and Eric!!
ps- Baby Sofia is due May 19th, so excited!!!

While the name itself is quite odd and can't be said without a suppressed giggle, this stuff is actually quite fantastic! Just to clarify what exactly this product is, it is a diaper rash ointment.

I thought I would give this stuff a thorough test so I put some on my daughters bum. She doesn't have diaper rash at the moment, nevertheless I was surprised when I changed her again a few hours later. The paste was gone and didn't leave any resedue behind. No oily, chalky or sticky spots, but I did notice that her skin, which was a bit dry there before was moisturized. The slight redness it had earlier was gone.

I also noticed right when I opened the tube of paste that it had a pleasant smell, something like vanilla but nothing chemically like most ointments have.

I have to say that if this stuff ever runs out (it is a conveniently small tube but the paste is quite thick and should last a while) I will buy another tube, just in case my babies need it.
