Thanksgiving

2 Hams, 2 Turkeys, Broccoli & Cauliflower with Cheese Sauce, Pistachio Salad, Jello, Rolls, Mashed Potatoes, 2 Types of Gravy, Funeral Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, and 7 Pies...All that great food and I couldn't even enjoy it. I had a fever, sores in my mouth and my throat hurt so bad I couldn't even swallow...On the plus side I actually lost a couple pounds!

My very first black Friday adventure. Target was the place and we knew exactly what we wanted(the 46" tv for $300). We stood in line for only about 2 1/2 hours. We got to the tv's and only then realized the store gave away tickets to the first few people who wanted the 46" tv and the tickets were gone. So we settled for the 40"($265) which was still a step up from our old 27" tube tv. We were in line about to check out when some lady came up to us and said, "I noticed you guys have the 40" tv, would you like to have my ticket for the 46" tv?" Jesse and I of course said yes. We were so excited and could not understand how out of hundreds of people this lady chose to give US the ticket.

Anyways, there we were standing there with this 40"tv that we no longer wanted. So we turned to the people behind us and asked if they wanted it. I guess they were disappointed that the tv's were gone by the time they got there so when we gave them our 40" tv they were literally screaming and jumping for joy. They kept saying how we made their Christmas.

So to sum up my black friday experience, it was AWESOME!

9 Months Old

Can't believe my baby is already 9 months old. He crawls like a pro, he says mama and dada, and he loves his mommy! Parker enjoys chasing the vacuum when I use it but he cries when anyone yells. He drives me crazy sometimes but I love him anyways!

8 Months old

Parker is 8 months old. Lately he has been sleeping better and he loves sweet potato baby food. I love this little boy!!

Chicago Day 1

Jesse had a writing conference in Chicago last weekend and I tagged along. I was excited to see Chicago since I had never been but I was also excited to get some me time(I took Parker with me of course), and my sister Kristin took my girls which I owe her big time for doing so. Thanks Kristin!

Thursday-

Parkers first flight!

Cool toilet at the airport in Chicago. The lid would rotate and the plastic would be replaced.

Parkers bed at the hotel, he wouldn't sleep in it at all though.


I was pretty tired from the flight so I took a nap then we went out to dinner. We had to use a taxi to go anywhere and I just have to say that taxi drivers are CRAZY!! I feared my life every time getting in one of those...
